Description
Provis Infusion Clinic Inc. provides chemotherapy infusion services for treatments that are approved in Canada, but currently not covered by provincial health insurance plans. Our current formulary includes Abraxane, Alimta, Avastin, Erbitux, Zevalin and Zometa. Gemzar, Herceptin and Rituxan are provided for indications outside of guideline funding. Patients are accepted by referral only from oncologists and hematologists. Each referral is reviewed by a Provis physician. The application is then processed and the patient contacted to discuss insurance coverage and cost of treatment. No drug will be given at the Provis Infusion Clinic if it is available and funded in the public system in Ontario for the particular indication and the patient fulfills guideline criteria for public funding.Our service is delivered by highly trained professional staff in a non-institutional, friendly environment while operating under the highest quality standards and observing the Canada Health Act.
